PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker having an infrared sensor to be capable of precisely measuring the temperature of a cooked object, while maintaining safety. SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker S has a body 1, an inner pot 2 detachably housed in the body, heating means 3 to heat the inner pot, control means 13 to control the heating means, an upper lid 5 to openably/closably cover an upper opening of the inner pot, and an infrared sensor part 20 provided on the upper lid to detect the temperature of the cooked object in the inner pot. The infrared sensor part includes a thermopile, a thermistor to detect temperature of the thermopile, and a probe part disposed with the thermopile and the thermistor inside. The probe part includes a first probe of nonconductive material, and a second probe forming a field to detect the temperature of the thermopile.
