PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element high in heat resistance with excellent durability against temperature change. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes: a light emitting layer having a luminescent-material-doped layer containing a luminescent material made of a styryl amine compound and a host material, and a luminescent-material-undoped layer made of the host material; and a host material layer disposed adjacent to at least any of surfaces of the light emitting layer and made of a host material which is the same as that contained in the light emitting layer. The styryl amine compound is a blue color luminescent material and is contained in the luminescent-material-doped layer in content of 1 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less.
