<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft device for a vehicle operable only by a right owner of a vehicle by a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The antitheft device 10 for the vehicle includes a main ignition switch 11, an auxiliary ignition switch 12 and an engine starting means 13. The engine stating means includes an engine starting signal cutoff device 15, and the engine starting signal cutoff device is connected to the auxiliary ignition switch. The auxiliary ignition switch includes a proximity sensor operable from a seated driver arranged at the reverse side of an invisible dashboard panel 35 and detecting that a detecting object approaches by a predetermined distance or shorter, and is turned on when the detecting object approaches. When the main ignition switch is turned on and the auxiliary ignition switch is turned on, the engine starting signal cutoff device is turned on, and an engine is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
