摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain accurate polarization information having no deterioration while being capable of simply carrying out an alignment, and to also improve an alignment accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A protective film 13 is formed in a thin film on an optoelectric transducer 12 optoelectric-converting incident light into an electric signal in a polarization imaging device 1. A polarization filter 16 is formed by patterning a polarization material deposited on the protective film 13, to determine the direction of polarizing the incident light. A flattening layer 17 protects the polarization filter 16, and forms a flat surface on the polarization filter 16. Microlenses 18 are formed while being corresponding to each pixel of the optoelectric transducer 12 and the polarization filter 16 on the flattening layer 17, and collects the incident light to the optoelectric transducer 12. Consequently, the thin-film shaped protective film 13 is interposed between the optoelectric transducer 12 and the polarization filter 16. Since the polarization filter 16 is formed by patterning the polarization material deposited on the protective film 13, the alignment accuracy is improved because a unification can be conducted without a conventional junction process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
