PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device, along with a filtering method, capable of performing safe and comfortable internet connection. SOLUTION: Rating that becomes a discrimination standard for whether access to a content 7 is possible, can be obtained from a rating server 3 specified by information provided from a widget server 2 on a closed network 100 which is reliable. It is decided whether access from a CE (Customer Electronics) device 5 to the content 7 on an open network 200 is possible, based on the rating obtained by such a method, and a display according to the rating results of the decided content is performed by a browser.
