PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joystick which provides improved accuracy and touch. SOLUTION: The joystick has a stick 12, that is movable in relation to a base, at least for rotation about at least two axes; and a first returning means mounted between the base and a movable element acting on the stick 12, with the first returning means being configured to return the stick 12 to a neutral position. The joystick, further, includes a compensation means, with the compensation means being mounted between the base and the movable element, and is configured so as to apply on the movable element a force to at least partially compensate for the force applied by the force applied by the first returning means, at least when the stick 12 is located in the vicinity of the neutral position.
