SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the fire resistant two-layer pipe joint with the thermal expansion joint stuck to the end face of the outer layer includes fitting, to the end of a synthetic resin pipe joint 5, the annular thermal expansion joint 3 having a width substantially equal to the thickness of the outer layer 6 of mortar formed on the outer periphery by injection molding, setting it into a heated injection molding die 3, forming the outer layer 6 abutting on the thermal expansion joint, of the injected mortar, and then removing it from the die to harden the mortar. A plurality of recessed holes or recessed grooves are formed in the rear face where the thermal expansion joint contacts the end face of the outer layer of the mortar, or through holes penetrating the front and rear are formed, or notched through holes are formed in the peripheral edge of the joint, or an annular hole of the joint is formed as a tapered hole to form a mortar penetration space 16.
