PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition containing the crystals of a thiazolidinedione compound as an active ingredient, and useful as a technical product for producing peroxisome proliferation factor-activating receptor (PPAR)γactivating agents, anticancer pharmaceutical compositions. SOLUTION: There is provided the pharmaceutical composition containing the hydrate crystals of 5-(4-ä[6-(4-amino-3,5-dimethylphenoxy)-1-methyl-1-H-benzimidazol-2-yl]methoxy}benzyl)-1,3-thiazolidine-2,4-dione represented by formula (I) as an active ingredient.
