<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate precursor and a method of preparing a lithographic printing plate each of which can prevent the occurrence of fingerprint trace stain and is capable of conducting one solution processing. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate precursor comprises a support and an image-recording layer comprising (A) a sensitizing dye, (B) a polymerization initiator, (C) a polymerizable compound and (D) a binder polymer, wherein a surface of the support is treated with a hydroxycarboxylate salt or a layer adjacent to the support contains a hydroxycarboxylate salt.
