<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peristaltic pump unit for a medical infusion apparatus, capable of being easily detached and replaced from a housing of a door. <P>SOLUTION: In the peristaltic pump unit, the housing and the door are connected by at least one journal or hinge pin and a mutually complementary bearing structure. The bearing structure includes a first portion having a slot in the lateral direction of an opening end which terminates within a bearing surface for the journal or hinge pin, and a second portion movable relative to the first portion. The slot in the lateral direction is exposed at a first position, and the journal or hinge pin passes through the slot in the lateral direction to collaborate with the bearing surface. The second portion is movable to a second position, where the second portion blocks the slot in the lateral direction to provide an additional bearing surface to collaborate with the journal or hinge pin.
