PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure increased parking spaces in providing both a loop passage which enables self-travelling of a vehicle and a lift for the vehicle. SOLUTION: This parking building includes: a vertical-movement area section G provided with the loop passage R on which the vehicle can self-travel to different stories while tracing a looped locus; a parking area section H in which parking floors P provided with the plurality of parking spaces 1 are provided on the plurality of stories, respectively; and a communication opening section L which enables the passage of the vehicle between the vertical-movement area section G and the parking area section H. The lift 2 for the vehicle, which can drive the vehicle so as to lift/lower the vehicle to the parking floor P, is disposed in a loop axis section which is surrounded by the loop passage R; and a doorway 2a of the lift 2 is provided while facing the loop passage R.
