PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound electrochemical device having superior impedance characteristics. SOLUTION: A strip electrode constituting an anode electrode A is provided with a strip main metal foil A1 and a pair of active material layers AE1, AE2 fitted on either face of the main metal foil A1. A strip electrode constituting a cathode electrode K is provided with a strip main metal foil K2 and a pair of active material layers KE1, KE2 fitted on either face of the main metal foil K2. A strip auxiliary metal foil T1 is fitted on an upper surface of an exposed area of the main metal foil A1, and a strip auxiliary metal foil T2 is fitted on an upper surface of an exposed area of the main metal foil K2. The individual auxiliary metal foils T1, T2 are welded to the main metal foils A1, K2 only at one position in a length direction (in a peripheral direction after winding).
