PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat height adjusting device with sector gear teeth hard to chip. SOLUTION: The seat height adjusting device 1 for a vehicle seat, adjusting the height of a seat body with respect to a vehicle floor, includes: a pinion gear 4 attached to a side frame 13 rotatably on an axis; a sector gear 2 rotatably attached to the side frame 13, and meshed with the pinion gear 4; and a link 16 with a first end connected to the sector gear 2 and a second end rotatably connected to the floor side. The sector gear 2 is made of metal. A sub-gear 3 made of metal and provided with teeth 3c is attached in the thickness direction. The teeth 3c of the sub gear 3 are spaced apart from the teeth 4b of the pinion gear 4 more than the teeth 2c of the sector gear 2, and located at positions engageable with the teeth 4b of the pinion gear 4 when the teeth 2c of the sector gear 2 deform.
