PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a relative attaching error between an imaging device and a phase difference type focus detection sensor, and deterioration in accuracy due to aging as a correction value. SOLUTION: The digital camera includes: a first focus detection means which picks up a subject image through a photographic optical system, detects a focus adjustment state of the photographic optical system and outputs a first focus detection signal; a second focus detection means which picks up the subject image through the photographic optical system at a position different from the arrangement position of the first detection means, detects the focus adjustment state of the photographic optical system and outputs a second focus detection signal; an error calculation means which calculates the relative attaching error between the first focus detection means and the second focus detection means on the basis of the first focus detection signal and the second focus detection signal; and a recording control means which records the error calculated by the error calculation means on a storage medium as a correction value.
