PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alarm which can shift to a state of stopping the ringing of the alarm tone with a simple operation, and an alarm which can notify a user of ringing of the alarm tone being under stopping. SOLUTION: The alarm performs abnormality notification by alarm tone ringing and abnormality display of a display lamp 72 upon fire detection, and then stops the alarm tone ringing for a predetermined period, if an alarm tone stop switch 4 which stops the alarm tone is operated. The display lamp 72 performs, during alarm tone ringing, flashing display on a predetermined period, and performs, during stopping of the alarm tone ringing, flashing display so that lighting time (a) for each period may become shorter than the lighting time for each period during alarm tone ringing.
