The device (10) has blow nozzles and/or suction nozzles mounted at a base (11). A sheet guiding element (12) forms a guide surface for sheets to be transported, where the sheet guiding element is fixed at the base by magnets (15) such as electromagnets, permanent magnets and ferrous magnets. The base forms a flow channel (13) for suction air and/or blowing air provided by a pneumatic system (14). Each magnet is electrically activated for fixation of the sheet guiding element at the base and deactivated for release of the sheet guiding element from the base.
