<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for obtaining a crucible for metal melting in which heat resistance is improved for preventing its erosion upon steel melting, simultaneously, water resistance of the crucible itself is improved to secure its strength, and cracks are hardly caused upon the movement and tilting operation of the crucible. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the crucible for metal melting essentially composed of calcium oxide (CaO) which is used in a vacuum melting furnace, the powder of the CaO to be the raw material is kneaded with liquefied zirconium chelate, liquefied aluminum chelate and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a resin binder, thereafter the kneaded mixture is packed into a molding form, and the subsequently molded crucible molded body is fired, and then the crucible is produced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
