<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein rollers are damaged without slipping between the rollers when an application roller and a squeeze roller are rotated with a linear velocity difference when starting an operation from a condition in which a processing liquid is not supplied to the application roller. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus includes a carrier roller 235 carrying paper 100; the application roller 232 facing the carrier roller 235 to apply the processing liquid 201 to the paper 100; and the squeeze roller 233 supplying the processing liquid 201 to the application roller 232 to thin a liquid film. When applying the processing liquid, the application roller 232 and the squeeze roller 233 are rotated with the linear velocity difference, and when starting the operation, the application roller 232 and the squeeze roller 233 are rotated at equal velocity by a torque limiter 236 provided at the squeeze roller 233. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
