PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing deice of a guard wire capable of easily fixing the guard wire for a projection in an elevator hoistway. SOLUTION: This fixing device 61 of the guard wire for the projection in the elevator hoistway includes a pair of jaw members 63 and 65 for nipping the fixing tip in a state of hooking the guard wire and a thickness adjusting screw 67. The thickness adjusting screw is constituted so as to threadedly engage with at least one of the pair of jaw members and change an interval between the pair of jaw members when the fixing tip is not nipped. The pair of jaw members include a pair of elastic parts narrowed toward the tip. The thickness adjusting screw is rotatably regulated in insertion-extraction in the screw axial direction between one of the pair of jaw members and itself, and is arranged so as to threadedly engage between the other of the pair of jaw members and itself.
