PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positioning accuracy at a place where distance measurement used for positioning by triangulation is unstable, without setting up a base station as a reference for improvement of GPS positioning accuracy. SOLUTION: In the device for estimating a position of a moving body by using GPS or another triangulation, distance measurement information which has not yet been acquired by the device itself is acquired by other moving bodies, a center, etc. and a communication means. Relative positions to the other moving bodies are measured by a distance measuring means. Relative distances between the moving bodies on which the relative positions were measured are given to the distance measurement information which has not yet been acquired after applying suitable conversion. By solving a resultant simultaneous equation, which is equal to the case where distance information from three points indispensable for positioning calculation is acquired, positioning can be achieved even at a place where distance measurement is unstable.
