PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake joint which can reliably secure an overflow route even if rainwater cannot pass through a water passage. SOLUTION: The intake joint includes: connecting portions 2 and 3 for vertically connecting drainpipes 8; an intake portion 4 which takes in the rainwater flowing down through the drainpipe 8 in the joint 1; the water passage 5 for draining the rainwater which is not taken by the intake portion 4 into the lower drainpipe 8; and an opening 6 for discharging the rainwater taken in a side face. The opening 6 is divided into two parts, and only one of the two-divided openings 6 communicates with the intake portion 4. By making only one of the two-divided openings (upper opening 6a) of the opening 6 communicate with the intake portion 4 and the other (lower opening 6b) not communicate with the intake portion 4, the overflow route is reliably secured even if the water passage 5 formed at the same level as the level of the intake portion 4 is blocked by fallen leaves etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
