PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the use of a plasma protein concentrate containing VWF having a high ratio of high-molecular-weight multimers. SOLUTION: The use of the plasma protein concentrate containing VWF having a high ratio of the high-molecular-weight multimers controls a hemorrhagic character and reduces loss of blood before, during and after operation in acquired Von Willebrand syndrome, preferably cardiovascular system disease, in surgical procedure, especially requiring extracorporeal circulation.
