摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-precision adaptive motor control which extends a range of motor operation with a highly efficient control scheme in a cruise control system having various motor control schemes. <P>SOLUTION: A novel cruise control system performs adaptive control of an electric vehicle so as to maintain a desired speed under variable operating conditions. This system uses a number of motor control schemes to control a motor using various waveform profiles of control current, and performs adaptive control of a phase lead angle between a control current and a counter EMF in response to a change in operating conditions and includes a phase lead angle adjustment provided for generating a control current enough to attain a desired speed.
