<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed and a method for improving body weight gain and feed efficiency in livestock. <P>SOLUTION: The body weight gain efficiency and feed efficiency of a piglet is improved by adding an additive comprising nucleic acid and glutamic acid to a livestock feed so that the nucleic acid is 0.05-1.0 wt.% per feed weight, the glutamic acid is 0.5-2.0 wt.% per feed weight, and the added amount of the additive comprising the nucleic acid and the glutamic acid is 0.55-3.0 wt.% per feed weight.
