PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hobbing machine having a simple structure and appropriately detecting the variation of cutting amount generated accompanied by the thermal deformation of a device. SOLUTION: Stands 27, 26 are fixed on upper ends of a first column 12 supporting a hob shaft 19 and a second column 22 supporting a work shaft, respectively. A measuring device 25 for measuring the distance D between the hob shaft 19 and the work shaft is interposed between the upper ends of both stands 26, 27. The cutting amount of a hob 18 with respect to a workpiece 24 is controlled based on the measurement result of the measuring device 25 when a gear is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
