PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, high-performance composite electronic component constituted by combining a static electricity countermeasure element, having small electrostatic capacity and superior discharge characteristics, with a common mode filter. SOLUTION: The composite electronic component 100 is composed of a common mode filter layer 12a and a static electricity countermeasure element layer 12b sandwiched between first and second magnetic substrates 11a and 11b. The common mode filter layer 12a includes rectangular spiral conductors 17 and 18 which are magnetically coupled to each other. The static electricity countermeasure element layer 12b includes gap electrodes 28 and 29 formed on a surface of a base insulating layer 27 and an electrostatic absorption layer 30 covering the gap electrodes. Gaps of the gap electrodes 28 and 29 are arranged in a position where they do not overlap a conductor pattern of an inductance element. The length direction of the gaps is parallel to linear portion of the first and the second spiral conductors. The electrostatic absorption layer 30 functions as an electrostatic protective member, and an initial discharge is secured when an overvoltage is applied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
