PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current collector that contributes to improvement of charge/discharge capacity maintenance rate of a lithium ion secondary battery. SOLUTION: The current collector for a lithium ion secondary battery includes a copper or copper alloy foil base material, an outermost plated layer provided directly or indirectly on the surface of the copper or copper alloy foil base material and having a conductive fiber protruding outward, and particles to which copper is electrically deposited and which are arranged at the tip end of the conductive fiber. As a conductive fiber, a carbon fiber, a metal fiber, or the like is used and when it is arranged facing outward, compound plating is preferable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
