PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus performing imaging of a dynamic object under suitable conditions, and also to provide a method for controlling the same, or the like. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: an imaging condition storage part 103 which stores a plurality of pieces of preset imaging data obtained from an imaging part 101, and setting data of a plurality of kinds of imaging conditions when the plurality of preset imaging data are acquired; an imaging position recognition part 106 which acquires the imaging data from the imaging part 101 to recognize position relation between the imaging data and the plurality of pieces of preset image data; an imaging condition calculation part 104 which calculates the remaining setting data among the plurality of kinds of imaging conditions when the pieces of imaging data are acquired; and an imaging condition setting part 105 which sets the remaining setting data in the imaging part 101.
