PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-board apparatus that enables data items to be updated from data items to be updated when the update time for data items is longer than the charge time for a battery. SOLUTION: The on-board apparatus, which is mounted on an electric vehicle using a chargeable battery as a power source, includes a data update device which updates data items, and a user interface device which acquires a charge time until charging is completed after charging the battery is started and an update time for data items and allows a user to select data items to be updated from the data items to be updated when the update time is longer than the charge time.
