<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and easy-to-handle flexible guide which has little interference with peripheral apparatuses and which keeps a fixed form that requires no consideration of extension and bend of a cable or a hose, and a cable support for an industrial robot using the flexible guide. <P>SOLUTION: The flexible guide 9 has a tubular flexible member 20, fixing parts 7 and 8 which are provided at both ends of the flexible member, a pair of through holes 12a and 12b created symmetrically about an axis in the longitudinal direction of the flexible member, and two wire rods 13 and 14 different in lengths L1 and L2 between the fixing parts inserted into the through holes. The length of each wire rod is adjustable. The flexible guide is fixed to each arm of the first arm 1 of the industrial robot and the second arm 2 supported rotatably around an arm supporting axis 1a, so that opening holes 7a and 8a at both fixing parts of the flexible guide may face the same direction around the arm supporting axis and that the flanks 7d and 8d of a shorter wire rod are on the side of the arm supporting axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
