<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing liquid heating apparatus having a heat pump highly efficiently operated for further energy saving. <P>SOLUTION: The washing liquid heating apparatus is provided with the heat pump for heating a washing liquid, the heat pump is configured to reduce the heat output when the temperature of the washing liquid (liquid temperature) is above a predetermined upper limit H, and to increase the heat output when the liquid temperature is below a predetermined lower limit L. The difference between the upper limit H and the lower limit L (temperature width W) is set to 2 to 10°C. The apparatus includes a timer for understanding of a predetermined time T1 going back by a time period required for the liquid temperature to reach the lower limit L or more from an operation starting time T2.
