PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can be reduced in size and enables efficient recovery of waste ink while recovered waste ink is not concentrated in one place of an ink storage means but is dispersed for storage. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes a waste ink absorber 130 accommodating the ink discharged from a record head by a recovery mechanism 18, and a tube projection amount-adjusting mechanism 150 which has a supply tube 120 forming a flow passage of the discharged ink from the recovery mechanism to the waste ink absorber and supplying the ink discharged from the record head to the waste ink absorber from the recovery mechanism, and which moves the position of a discharge opening of the ink to the waste ink absorber in the supply tube relative to the waste ink absorber. The tube projection amount-adjusting mechanism can move the position of the discharge opening relative to the waste ink absorber with the supply tube connected to the discharge opening of the record head.
