PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector capable of injecting fuel suitable when an engine is at a low temperature without complicating a shape and increasing costs. SOLUTION: In an injector 10 which controls a lift amount of a needle 14 through a pressure change in a control chamber 21, a lift amount L of an armature 38, an effective area A<SB>in</SB>of an inlet orifice 34 and an effective area A<SB>out</SB>of an outlet orifice 35 are set so as to perform boot injection which increases a fuel injection amount to a predetermined fuel injection amount step wisely when fuel is at a low temperature and normal injection which increases the fuel injection amount to the predetermined fuel injection amount at a substantially uniform increase rate when fuel is at a high temperature.
