PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective apparatus for emergency which is reliable in operability that can surely stop even the attack of an abnormal scale of "tsunami". SOLUTION: The protective apparatus for emergency is added as an auxiliary means to a dike having a front face, an upper face and a back face and fixedly installed facing a sea area to function against seismic sea waves, high tides, or the like. The protective apparatus for emergency includes main protective receiving bodies and protective ropes. The main protective receiving bodies are arranged on the upper face of the dike to face in the longitudinal direction, and the protective ropes are allowed to pass in a plurality of vertical stages while both ends are supported to the main protective receiving bodies through buffer means.
