PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and a position management system, which achieve power saving and highly accurately detect even indoors a position of a slave terminal. SOLUTION: A cellular phone 1 communicates with a plurality of base stations 110 reporting different pieces of position data, and has: a communication part 40 which is synchronized with one of the plurality of base stations 110 and receives a signal from the synchronized base station 110; a storage part 50 which stores a plurality of pieces of position data received by the communication part 40 from the synchronized base station 110, together with received time data; and a control part 30 which transmits as locus data, the plurality of pieces of position data stored in the storage part 50 and the received time data corresponding to each piece of position data to another cellular phone 1 by the communication part 40.
