The disk has a brake-disk chamber (40) made of a thin walled sheet metal i.e. aluminum sheet. A face surface (12) of the chamber has a central through hole (20) in which a centering element of a wheel hub is engaged in a final assembly location of the disk. The face surface has screwing apertures (50) for bolting the disk with the wheel hub. An axial stepped offset (42) circumferentially surrounds the central through hole. A friction ring is formed from aluminum-based metal matrix composite (MMC) material.
