PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem on degradation of a cooling capacity due to reduction of a heat exchange amount between a fin and the air due to reduction of the air flowing to a cooler caused by frost formation on a surface of the fin by water vapor in the air passing through the cooler (heat exchanger). SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes the heat exchanger provided with the fin exchanging heat with the air flowing therein, a bypass air trunk having an inlet near an inlet of the heat exchanger, and connected with neighborhood of an outlet of the heat exchanger, and a bypass opening/closing section for continuously opening and closing the bypass air trunk according to differential pressure generated between the neighborhood of the inlet and the neighborhood of the outlet of the heat exchanger due to the frost generated on the fin at a windward section of the heat exchanger.
