PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which compatibly achieves weight reduction of a tire and durability of a tire in a higher level. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic radial tire, both of a first belt layer and a second belt layer of the belt are arranged in parallel in a belt width direction and are buried in coating rubber by making a bundle of 5 to 7 monofilament cords having filament diameters of 0.18 to 0.26 mm aligned as a unit, and a gauge of the rubber layer between the monofilament cords in the first belt layer at the end of the second belt layer and the second belt layer is 1.3 to 2.5 times as larger as that in the belt center region. In at least part of monofilament cords in each layer of the belt, each angle in relation to a tire peripheral direction of the monofilament cords is different from those in the belt center region and the belt end part region. When the angle in the belt center region isθ1 and the angle in the belt end region isθ2, a relation ofθ1<θ2 is satisfied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
