WASTE GRINDING AND COMPACTING UNIT Abstract A unit for grinding and compacting waste is designed to be able to grind any 5 type of waste of a domestic sort, whether it is organic, paper, plastic, glass, etc., and for preferential use in boats/ships, though it may also be used for the grinding and compacting of waste in any other location. The unit comprises a framework (1) into which a grinder is integrated, the grinder being located in the upper portion of the framework (1), and a compactor located correspondingly in the lower part of the same io framework (1). The grinder includes a motorized reducer (2) with two axles (3) which spin in opposite directions and blades for cutting and grinding the waste, whereas the compactor includes a compacting container (8), a waste receiver which either receives the waste directly or does so from the grinder, with the compacting carried out by a plate (12) activated by an element linked to the piston ring of a main cylinder (15) which is is positioned so as to turn by way of a conditioning cylinder (16). |
