<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the drying operation of a bathroom heater/dryer which is capable of preventing useless execution of the drying operation though clothes are fully dried or clothes does not exist, and capable of preventing an early stop when the drying operation is started in a high humidity state. <P>SOLUTION: It is determined whether or not the humidity increase ΔH in a prescribed first set time after the start of the drying operation for executing heating and ventilation in a bathroom, is at or above a first determination value YΔH1 (STEP 5), and when the humidity increase and the first determination value have a relationship represented by formula:ΔH ≥ YΔH1, the drying operation is continued. When the humidity increase and the first determination value have a relationship represented by formula:ΔH < YΔH1, the ventilation operation for suspending heating while executing ventilation only, is executed for a prescribed second set time (STEPs 6 and 7). After that, the drying operation is restarted, and it is determined whether or not the humidity increase ΔH in a prescribed third set time after the restart of the drying operation is at or above a prescribed second determination value YΔH2 (STEP 12).
