OBJECTIVE LENS HOLDER AND OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens holder in which an outer peripheral objective lens can condense a laser beam to the innermost periphery of a disk without a trouble that an inner peripheral objective lens hits a turntable and an optical pickup device.

SOLUTION: The objective lens holder includes the objective lens A having a lens A and edge A to condense the laser beam A to the disk A, the objective lens B having a lens B and edge B to condense the laser beam B to the disk B, and a movable lens holder having holes A and B and contacts A and B to integrally hold the objective lenses A and B in the radial direction of the disk A and B as the outer peripheral and inner peripheral lenses. At least either case of a distance A of a side where the edge A faces to the edge B is less than a distance of a side where the edge A does not face to the edge B and a distance B of the side where the edge B faces to the edge A is less than a distance of the side where the edge B does not face to the edge A is effected, and the distance between the central axes of the objective lenses A and B is set to the distance in which the edge B does not hit the turntable when the laser beam A is condensed in the innermost periphery of the disk A depending on the distance A and B.
