PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument allowing many persons who are interested in molding and progress to aesthetics of molding to easily, accurately, and instantly measure both side surfaces formed from the center line used as the base of a structure, because the measurement by the current method, namely a method using a scale, caliper, or the like, is difficult. SOLUTION: A measurement scale 3 is put into a long-sized body gauge 1 having a certain width and thickness, measuring bodies 4 are formed right and left, a pointer mounting section is mounted to the central part of the body gauge 1, a pointer 6 is disposed, the pointer 6 is butted on the center line of the base of the structure, measuring tips 7 can be easily butted on measuring parts of the both side surfaces, and the dimension and height of the both side surfaces from the center line can be accurately recognized.
