<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an electrophoretic display device in which adhesion of partition for cell formation can be surely performed even though it is a simple process. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes a partition forming step of forming partitions on one side of substrate in a predetermined pattern in order to establish each bottom surface and each surface of a plurality of cells, an adhesion layer forming step of forming an adhesion layer on the partitions, a display medium filling step of filling each region partitioned by the partitions with a display medium after the adhesion layer has been formed, and other substrate adhesion step of establishing the top surface of each of the plurality of cells and sealing off the display medium by means of adhering another substrate onto the adhesive layer on the partitions; the adhesion layer forming step is performed by heat-transferring a heat sealing agent using a transfer film to which the heat sealing agent has been applied. the other-substrate-adhesion step is a heating step that obtains adhesive force by re-melting the heat sealing agent that had been transferred as the adhesive layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
