PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system, capable of confirming the locking or the locking operation of an electric lock conected to an indoor device (master device), with a simple operation from the outdoor, without operating an outdoor device (slave device). SOLUTION: When an inhabitant operates an operation unit 32 of a remote controller 3 in the vicinity of a slave device 2, a locking signal is transmitted to a master device 1 via the slave device 2. Upon receiving the locking signal, a locking controller 17 confirms the locking state of the electric lock 50, and outputs a locking confirmation signal when locked. If the electric lock 50 is not locked, the locking controller performs a locking operation, and after confirming the locking, the locking controller outputs the locking confirmation signal. If the electric lock 50 is not locked after predetermined number of times in trying to lock the electric lock, the locking controller outputs an abnormal signal. When the locking confirmation signal or the abnormal signal is transferred to the slave device, information output units 23, 24, 31 output information in a first pattern corresponding to the locking confirmation signal or a second pattern corresponding to the abnormal signal.
