The mill device (2) has housing (5), a mill entrance (38) for supplying the mill material and a rotary supported shaft (10). A blade-beater wheel (3) and a blade tool (4) are supported by the shaft and have multiple blades (46) that are distributed over the circumference of the blade wheels. The blades form impact surfaces for mill material. A dust-flow changing element is provided between blades that are adjacent in the circumference direction of the shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for grinding the mill material.
