PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To learn the shape of a junction felt troublesome to go through, and to provide guidance or a route optimum for the state of learning. SOLUTION: This navigation system for a vehicle which searches for a course to a destination and provides guidance includes input means (1) for inputting the destination, present location detecting means (2), information storage means (3) for storing data necessary for a course guidance, including road data, course search means (4a) which reads the road data of the information storage means and searches for the course from the present location to the input destination, learning means (4b) which learns the shape of the junction having caused mistakes in the course, and control means (4c) which changes the guidance according to the state of learning, at the junction in the shape having caused mistakes in the course.
