PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To independently display strain image data in a stress echo method and a B-mode image data. SOLUTION: A system control part 12 is constituted so as to control a transmission reception part 2, a data generating part 4, a B/TDI image data generating part 5 and a strain image data generating part 6 with respect to the first scanning cross section of a subject to which a drug is administered to generate a wide range of the B-mode image data of high scanning density and a narrow range of the strain image data of low scanning density. A display image data generating and storing part 7 is constituted so as not only to add heartbeat time phase information to the generated display B-mode image data and the generated display strain image data to store both data but also to generate the B-mode image data and the display strain image data with respect to another scanning surface in the same way. A display part 8 is constituted so as to extract the display B-mode image data or display strain image data of the same time phase obtaining in a different scanning cross section on the basis of the heartbeat time phase information to be synchronously displayed on a monitor 82.
