The method involves providing a transparent substrate (2), and applying a high-precisely structured, reflective layer (5) on a side surface (3) of the substrate. The reflective layer is provided with a recess (6) at which the side surface of the substrate is not covered with the reflective layer. A scattering layer (7) is applied on the substrate in such a manner that the recess is completely filled. An induction layer (8) is applied on the reflective layer and on the scattering layer. The reflective is made from metal, and the induction layer is made from conducting material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a calibration cell comprising a transparent substrate (2) a method for testing measuring accuracy of a calibration cell.
