The mixer has drives (40, 50) for operating a pre-mixing device (20) and a dispersion device (30) that are arranged in a mixing trough (10). The pre-mixing device and the dispersion device are rotationally-decoupled, where the pre-mixing device is arranged above the dispersion device. One of the drives is arranged partially below the dispersion device, and the other drive is arranged partially above the pre-mixing device. The former drive exhibits a hollow shaft by which a drive shaft of the latter drive is passed-through.
