The receiver (14) has a front wall (16) and a rear wall that are connected together such that the receiver is opened at one end. The front wall and the rear wall define a space for receiving waste in a waste collecting container (10). A connecting unit connects the front wall to the rear wall, and is inactivated such that the front wall presents a degree of freedom relative to the rear wall. The connecting unit comprises an opening (34) arranged on a lateral wall (20) of the receiver such that a rod (30) is inserted into the opening. An independent claim is also included for a waste collecting container comprising a receiver.
